As kids enter their spring break, both the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows museums are offering a wide range of family-friendly events to help keep the children entertained during the two-week break.

At the Pitt Meadows Museum, kids will be able to embrace their creative side and bring several handmade items to life with the special spring break craft kits at the museum.

Starting Sunday, March 17, these kits will be available for pickup during the museum’s opening hours in exchange for a $5 donation.

Inside will be everything needed to create an assortment of crafts, including two friendship bracelets, a paper animal, a beaded lizard, a drawstring backpack and decorations for it, and more.

The museum advised parents and children to be aware that the tag attached to each craft kit will tell them what colour the backpack is inside of that kit, so it’s important to check it to ensure the kids get the colour they want.

Next week, the Maple Ridge Museum will have its own spring break entertainment, which will be offered from March 21 to 24.

During this time, there will be take-home crafts and activities, lawn games, and a scavenger hunt.

The museum also recommends that visitors take the time to check out the exhibits and displays inside as well, which will be operating as normal.
