One of Maple Ridge’s longest-standing fundraisers is returning next weekend as the Maple Ridge Lions Club prepares to host its Mother’s Day breakfast event.
Lions Club treasurer Sharon Eskildsen explained that this 57th annual breakfast marks a long-awaited return for the event, with the club not hosting it since 2019.
“We are very excited to return to this annual event,” said Eskildsen.
The returning fundraiser will look and feel largely the same to people who have attended prior iterations of it, but there will be one major difference.
“We will be hosting at a different location this year,” said Eskildsen, explaining that the event has been moved to the Albion Fairgrounds.

In addition to a spread of all-you-can-eat bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, and more, there will also be an assortment of door prizes available.
The event will take place on Mother’s Day, which falls on Sunday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Albion Fairgrounds.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and kids 12 or younger, with children three years old or younger getting in for free.
