Maple Ridge Lions are hosting their annual health and wellness event.

The Maple Ridge Lions Club is hosting its free annual health and wellness event, coming up on April 13.

The event will be held over three hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ridge Meadows Seniors Activity Centre, at 12150 224th St.

The local service club invites people to see new products and services that help people with their hearing, vision, mobility and more.

This will be the 11th annual fair, which offers information about services in the community, where to access equipment, recreational activities, and education. Past events have been attended by organizations such as BC Guide Dogs, TransLink Handydart, Purple Angels Memory Cafe for dementia support, the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, and more.

There will also be the potential for those attending to win prizes.

The Maple Ridge Lions Club has been in the community since May of 1944, and is a group who volunteer their time to help people in the community and around the world. Lions Club International has been around since 1917. Meetings for the local club are held on the first and third Monday every month at St. Andrews Heritage Church Hall at 22279 116 Ave., Maple Ridge.
