Music is in the air – or soon will be – thanks to not one but two different local singing groups starting up their new seasons.
On Jan. 8, the Meadow Ridge Singers will begin their spring session, with the non-audition group hosting their first event at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (12145 Laity St., Maple Ridge) at 6:30 p.m.
The group is especially interested in bringing on more tenor and bass voices, but will gladly accept anyone who wants to join.

The Maple Ridge Choral Society will also be starting their spring session next week, with the first of their registration dates taking place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Jan. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
They will then host consequent members for new and returning members on Jan. 16 and 23, which will also take place at 6:30 p.m.
Joining the group for half a year costs $75 for adults, $65 for seniors, and $40 for students, plus a $10 music sheet and $5 society membership fees.

Anyone interested in expressing their musical side can stop by one or both of the group’s events to try out singing as part of a group.
