Amateurs and pros alike will soon be hitting the links in Pitt Meadows as the local courses prepare to host a series of Vancouver Golf Tour (VGT) events this summer.

At most VGT tournaments, amateurs of various handicaps are pitted against professionals, with purses of tens of thousands of dollars up for grabs.

The team of Bryan Bessant and Kevin Barbisan took first place in the open division, while first place in the net division went to Meadow Gardens’ own Scott Morgan and his teammate Andrew Funamoto.
