A new, temporary café is ready to greet flyers and residents at the Pitt Meadows Airport.
Charlie Foxtrot, a café from the Joseph Richard Group (JRG), has been unveiled at the former Runway Café location at the Pitt Meadows Airport.
“New restaurant coming to the new Pitt Meadows Airport terminal. Looking forward to a great place for guests and the community to take in the stunning views and enjoy a delicious lunch. Check out the interim café now open,” said the city in a Facebook post.
The café, located in the Overflow Parking lot, will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, by Spring, a new restaurant, Whiskey Charlie, will instead open in the new terminal building. Whiskey Charlie is also owned by JRG and is basically running under the temporary call-sign out of the Runway Café trailer until the restaurant renovations are completed.
Last year, the Runway Café closed its business at the airport, after running in the community for 11 years, and moved to work with the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) in New Westminster.
