People can bang the drums in downtown Maple Ridge this Friday evening in Memorial Peace Park.
An art workshop takes place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a drum circle at 7 p.m., led by Sto:lo elder Eddie Gardner.
Representatives of the Katzie First Nation will also be joining in and welcoming participants.
In addition to the drumming, artist J. Peachy will be leading salmon art work activities with children active play provide by Red Fox Active Play.
It’s a free event and is part of the City of Maple Ridge’s plan at developing a vibrant city.
