Maple Ridge is showing both residents, investors and tourists what this place is all about in a 2.25-minute video titled Discover Maple Ridge, that soon will be on all its digital platforms.

“What we want is for people to view it and send it out to their friends,” said Lino Siracusa, the city’s economic development manager.

Chris Wheeler Productions made the video in January at a cost of $15,000 to the city, using both drone and airplane cameras.

“It’s a video that basically shows all the diversity that Maple Ridge has to offer,” said Siracusa.

It’s not aimed solely at visitors, but residents, too, so they know what they have in their backyard.

The video emphasizes parks, but also the city’s historical and commercial features.

Everything is visual today, so a short video gives people a quick idea of Maple Ridge, he added.
