Ridge Meadows RCMP continue to look for a man who approached a young girl last month in Maple Ridge.
Around 11:15 a.m. on May 21, a young girl was walking in the 22800 block of 122 Avenue when a man in a newer model car, possibly a Nissan, stopped and asked her some unusual questions.
Police stress the man did not threaten the girl or attempt to abducted her.
“Police want to talk with this person, as what he did alarmed the child,” said Cpl. Alanna Dunlop.
“It should be noted that the man did not make any attempt to touch the girl, or make any statement to get her to come closer to his car.”
The man was driving a silver or grey two-door car with chrome trim around the side windows, and chrome tire rims.
He is described as a dark-skinned man in his mid 20s with brown eyes and a silver earring with a blue bead in his left ear.
He has a thin, well-conditioned build, with short, clean-cut black hair, and a thin beard that is trimmed down to a single line running along the bottom part of his face.
