Ridge Meadows RCMP arrested a man in west Maple Ridge Wednesday afternoon following an intensive effort that involved the Lower Mainland's integrated police dog service, the RCMP's Air One chopper and the emergency response team.
Police launched the search following a hit-and-run on Lougheed Highway near Meadowtown Centre in Pitt Meadows.
The collision involved a Chrysler 300 and a Dodge Neon and happened in the eastbound lanes at about 1 p.m.
The search took place around the Maple Meadows Industrial Park, by Stewart Crescent.
