Surrey police have arrested a man who had been wanted by Ridge Meadows RCMP on outstanding warrants.
Jason Carl Lindgren, 33, was located July 6 in south Surrey and arrested by Surrey RCMP.
Ridge Meadows RCMP put out a call to the public for help in locating Lindgren at the start of the month.
Lindgren is facing Ridge Meadows charges of kidnapping, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and pointing a firearm.
He's also facing a breach of undertaking and breach of recognizance charge.
Sgt. Alanna Dunlop with the Surrey RCMP said that officers located a vehicle attempting to exit an underground parking garage on 154th Street, in the 1,600-block. An arrest was made and Lindgren was subsequently taken to hospital with minor injuries.
“The expediency with which this arrest was affected is a direct result of the coordination amongst multiple police agencies working together to minimize risk and enhance public safety throughout the region," said Surrey RCMP Insp. Shawna Baher, proactive enforcement officer.
