A woman has been arrested after two vehicles were stolen Tuesday in Maple Ridge.

Ridge Meadows RCMP were alerted to the theft around 8:30 a.m. A Chevrolet Suburban was left unattended while running in the owner’s driveway. The thief got into the unlocked truck and drove away.

Just over an hour later, police spotted the suspect walking on Thorne Avenue near 207 Street, where she was arrested and the vehicle was recovered.

Police are still looking for three other suspects who they believe were also in the SUV.

“A blue 2011 Volkswagon Golf was stolen from a home in the area shortly after the SUV was found, and it is believed to be connected to these three people," said Cpl. Brenda Winpenny.

The female suspect is being held for further investigation and court.
