Pitt Meadows, Notice of Public Hearing - Rezoning


The City of Pitt Meadows hereby gives notice that it will hold a public hearing as part of its Council meeting on Tuesday April 9, 2024, starting at 7:00 p.m. to receive comments and submissions regarding the following proposed bylaw amendment to City of Pitt Meadows Zoning Bylaw 2505, 2011 for the properties legally described as:

Lot 2 Sections 9, 10, 11 and 14 Block 5 North Range 1 East New Westminster District Plan BCP9734

City of Pitt Meadows Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2971, 2024

The intent of this bylaw is to rezone the properties to permit additional uses as listed below and shown on the map on the following page:


a) In the case of Lot 1 Sections 2 and 11 Block 5 North Range 1 East New Westminster District Plan BCP9734 (area shaded in blue), light industrial is proposed as a principal use. All light industrial uses shall be sited not less than 7.5 m from the front lot line and 3 m from all other lot lines.

b) In the case of Lot 2 Sections 9, 10, 11 and 14 Block 5 North Range 1 East New Westminster District Plan BCP9734:

i. In the terminal building addressed as 1000 – 18799 Airport Way (area shaded in orange), office, retail, and personal service are proposed as accessory uses.

ii. In the building addressed as 170 – 18799 Airport Way (area shaded in yellow), banquet facility is proposed as an accessory use.

Anyone who believes they are affected by the proposed bylaw will be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard. There are several ways to take part:

When: 7:00 p.m.

Submissions received BEFORE 3:00 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the meeting will be included in the meeting agenda package. Submissions received AFTER this deadline, up until 3:00 p.m. on the day of the public hearing, will form part of an on-table circulation.

No representations on this proposed bylaw amendment will be received by Council after the conclusion of the public hearing.

All oral and written submissions, including names and addresses, will become part of the public record which includes being made available for public inspection on the City’s website.
