VAN DER PAUW - Adrianus C

It is with much sadness but deep faith that we announce the passing of Adrianus, loving husband, father, and grandfather. Left to mourn his passing but cherish his memory is his wife of sixty years, Winnifred; children John (Marianne), Janet Murphy, Richard (Nola); grandchildren Ryan, Lisa, Nicholas, Kristen, Michael, Shannon, Christopher, Jennifer, and great grandchildren Emily and Brooklyn. Adrianus was born and grew up in Holland. He fought in the WWII with the Royal Dutch Air Force. While in England during the war he met Winnifred. They married and raised a family in England until 1957 when they came to Canada with their three children. Adrianus enjoyed his work at Kew Gardensin England, the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Golf Courses as Superintendent, and finally with his son, Richard, in the landscaping business. His enjoyment was gardening, his life was his family. Prayers were held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 29 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 20285 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge.
