On March 7th at the age of 77, Barbara passed away due to complications following a stroke she suffered on September 30th.
Barbara brought so much light and love to the people fortunate enough to know her. She was kind and thoughtful but shied away from the spotlight and was happiest when she could quietly help others. She was truly a gentle soul and the world was a better place for her presence.
Her husband Robert was the love of her life and during their many happy years together they enjoyed traveling, especially to Scotland to visit his homeland. Barbara and Robert shared a deep bond and built a happy life together, even during his recent health issues.
Barbara will be dearly missed and remembered by the warm and supportive community of people who make up St George's Village where Barbara and Robert lived. Her good friends Howard and Marcia were always there to lend a hand and share a laugh and she loved and appreciated them so much. Natalie was also a good friend who meant a great deal to Barbara. Her family, Robert, Lynda, Michael, Steve, Marie, Bruce, Madeline, Graham and Emilie are all tremendously saddened by this loss. Her sister Marjorie, niece Michelle, and nephews Andrew, David, Paul and James are also deeply missing her. Despite her health struggles in the past few months, we are comforted that Barbara was able to find moments of quiet joy in her last days and that her passing was peaceful and free of pain.
Dear Barbara, we love you, love you, love you.
If anyone wants to make a donation in Barbara's name we thought the Heart and Stroke Foundation would appreciate the support.
