BAHNMAN ~ Brent

Of Chilliwack and Maple Ridge, died peacefully in his sleep on the 20th of May 2007, at the McKenney Creek Hospice. He was only 50 years old.

Brent was born in Vancouver on March 21, 1957. He grew up in the lower mainland, graduated from high school in Coquitlam and went on to study graphic arts at Langera College. He and his brother Rob created Bahnline Originals, doing pen & ink renderings until Rob's passing in 1996.

Brent became a realtor in 1991 and had a successful career in the Coquitlam & Maple Ridge areas, as well as Vancouver Island. In the last two years, photographic art became a passion and he spent much of his time enjoying nature especially the rain forest around Cultus Lake.

Brent is predeceased by his father Arthur Bahnman and brother Rob Bahnman. He is survived by mother Jeanne Bahnman, sister Karonne Ferguson (Dale), brother Mark (Maureen), sister-in-law Iris Bahnman, daughters Tara and Meghan and mother of his cherished girls Valerie Bahnman. He is also survived by loving nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.

All of us will so dearly miss his sweet and gentle good nature, his culinary creations, his vibrant Hawaiian shirts and his wicked sense of humour.

He did not make it to Mexico one more time but we can picture him basking in the sun, sipping a Corona and listening to country music.

Brent's final wish is being honored at a celebration of life on June 3 where a display of his art work will be shown. Please contact family for details.

Donations may be made on his behalf to the McKenney Creek Hospice, 11762 Laity St., Maple Ridge, BC V2X 5A3. In his last 3 weeks there, he was treated with such kindness and dignity.
