It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bruce Johnston on January 22, 2020. Bruce was born January 15, 1944 in Chilliwack, BC to parents Colin & Phyllis. He is survived by wife Judy, daughter Calista, sons Jayden and Cullen, brother Maurice & sister Julie. Bruce loved spending time with his family and friends and was always there to help them.
In 1973 Bruce along with his partner and friend of 47 years, Tom Meier, established Johnston Meier Insurance Agencies. Over the years they grew the business from one small office in Maple Ridge to 46 locations throughout BC. Bruce was very proud of his business and considered the people that worked for him an extension of his family.
Bruce will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends and all those who knew him.
A service will be held on Feb 1 2020 at 12:30 pm at the Maple Ridge Baptist Church, 22155 Lougheed Hwy., Maple Ridge, BC. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the BC Cancer Foundation.
