Cecile (nee Chartier) was born in Carrot River, Saskatchewan. As a child she grew up at a logging camp at Fyfe Lake, just outside Prince George. As a teenager she moved with her family to Pitt Meadows and resided there until she married. On September 2, 1961, Cecile and Walter wed and together they raised three beautiful daughters.
Cecile is lovingly remembered by her husband Walter, daughters Lorelie Christensen (Roy), Michelle Vesa, and Roni Magnusson (Geoff). Grandchildren Lee, Sydney, Paul (Alex), Lindsay (Oliver), Kyle and Paige. Great grandchildren Adeline, Ethan and a blessing of a new life expected in May to Lindsay and Oliver.
A heartfelt thank you to McKenney Creek Hospice for the loving care, kindness, and compassion given to Cecile and extended to her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Garden Hill Funeral Services in Maple Ridge at 1:00 pm on Thursday January 18, 2018.
