ELLMAN, Charles (Chuck. )Sept 21, 1928 - Jan 11, 2013. After an unexpected illness. Husband, father, grandfather, former teacher at MRSS, actively involved in the community for 24 years after taking early retirement: Maple Ridge Art Club, Arts Council, Seniors Center, CEED, Peer to Peet Tutoring, St. George's Church, as well as fundraising and political campaign volunteering. Predeceased by father John and Magdelene and seven brothers. His sharp mind and positive attitude never faded, and he will be dearly missed by his wife Edna, son Ian (Kelly), daughter Carol (Doug), grandchildren Brandon, Hannah and Kylie, many friends, relatives, colleagues and former students.
Funeral Service was held at St. George's Anglican Church on Monday January 14th. A Celebration of his Art will be held on Saturday, January 19th, 11am-3pm at St. George's Church, 23500 Dewdney Trunk, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maple Ridge Hospital Foundation, 604-463-1822,
in his name will ensure the same future level of care for our community.
