TULLOCH, David

Maple Ridge, BC

David James Tulloch, age 61, was born May 25th, 1955, and succumbed to cancer on June 7th, 2016, 10:20 AM, at Ridge Meadows Hospital surrounded by his loving family and life long friends Randy and Bob. David was diagnosed with inoperable prostate cancer in 2005 and entered the clinical trials program at the BC Cancer Agency where treatments prolonged his life while aiding cancer research.

David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Christine, and his three children; Meghan, Scott (Stevie) and Erin (Blake), and his brother Miles (Barb). He is predeceased by his father Bill whom he adored.

David was born in Vancouver and attended Burnaby Central High. After 15 years with Woodward's Food Floors, he served a stellar 23 year career with BC Corrections, retiring at the rank of Corrections Supervisor. David was a wonderful husband and father who loved the outdoors, four wheeling in his vintage Land Rover and exploring beautiful BC. He mastered the art of the BBQ grill and was widely known by those who loved him as a culinary artist. Throughout his 11 year battle with cancer David never complained nor did he lose his incredible and legendary sense of humour. He remains an inspiration to his family, friends and fellow Corrections Officers and will be sorely and deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 20th, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Meadow Gardens Golf course in Maple Ridge.
