With sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Dianne Lynn Sorensen (nee Cusick).
Born in Pitt Meadows Dianne was predeceased by sister Gail and both parents Stephani & Elmer but is survived by husband Roy and sons Craig (Lilian) & Clarke (Corry) Longmuir. Dianne also leaves behind a very large extended family which she cherished deeply including siblings Les (Judy), Lori, Dean (Margaret), and many cherished cousins, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She also had many close lifelong friends as well as her Lupus support group friends & members, each of which were such an important part of her life.
Dianne studied at SFU prior to working as both a teacher, student counsellor and tutor, work that she enjoyed to the fullest, she was always interested in helping & supporting other people.
Dianne married Roy Sorensen in 1995 and they became as one, spending their lives living near family in Maple Ridge. She loved Roy deeply and they would do anything for one another.
Great coffee, baking, lavender, flower gardens and butterflies were often in her thoughts. Her family will miss her so much and are so proud of her many accomplishments in giving back to others.
A service will be held in the spring when the flowers have bloomed - notice to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lupus Canada in her honour.
