Don Warren, a longtime resident of Maple Ridge BC, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2022 due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. Born December 27, 1938 in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Don worked in the auto body trade in and around Edmonton where he met and married the love on his life Lilah (Jasper) in 1958. Settling in the Lower Mainland in 1963 where they raised their three children, Don pursued his passion for archery and auto restoration.
He started his award winning business, Rumbleseat Restorations in 1969 which carries on Don's legacy in his honour to this day. Don also became indoor and outdoor Canadian Archery Champion several times in the mid 70's and early 80's and competing at World Championships in Australia, France and Yugoslavia.
Don was a founding member and past president of Golden Ears Chapter of the Vintage Car Club of Canada, the Maple Ridge Archery Club and started then ran the Old Car Sunday in the Park car show in Mission for 25 years.
Family and the love of his life Lilah were always the most important things in his life. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by wife Lilah (Jasper), son's Larry (Heide), Dean (Lisa), daughter Debbie (James), five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, as well as his sisters Carole (Bert) and Nola (Roger).
Don was predeceased by his parents Doug and Olive and brothers Vic and Richard.
A funeral in his honour will take place at 10:30am on Thursday, September 1st at Maple Ridge Alliance Church, 20399 Dewdney Trunk Road in Maple Ridge BC.
