It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth "Betty" Wilson, in the loving care of her family on July 02, 2019.
Betty was born one of eight children in Glasgow, Scotland in 1935. While working at Gleneagles Hotel in 1954, she met and married her husband of 65 years, Donald Wilson. Together in 1965 they set out on the biggest adventure of their lives, and moved to BC where they built a life and raised their children. Once in Vancouver she set out on her career path in ladies fashion and was a consummate fashionesta! Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. When she wasn't babysitting or helping out family or friends, she could be found working at her favorite pastime playing Bingo, most times at the Haney Bingo Plex.
Betty leaves behind her loving husband of 65 years, Donald, her daughters Catherine, Pauline, Donna, sons-inlaw Rick and Darcy, grandchildren, Ryan, Patrick, Darby, Brittany, Jenna-Lynn and Evan, 3 great-grandchildren, and her last surviving "wee" sister Nessie and brother inlaw Ray.
She will be sadly missed by all the people, family and friends whose lives she touched. She will always live in our hearts.
