In Loving Memory (1939-2024) ~
It is with great sadness we share the loss of Gary Parker, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Gary passed away on January 2nd, 2024, at his Pitt Meadows home with his beloved wife Marlene at his side.
He lived his life every day the way he wanted until the very moment he passed.
Gary was raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to B.C in 1974 with Marlene and their two sons Jim and Rob. In BC, Gary provided a wonderful life for his family which included many outdoor activities, sports and was most dedicated to organized soccer with his two sons.
While his career had its ups and downs, Gary's hard work, grit, and love for his family helped him succeed.
During his retirement, if Gary wasn't spending time with family, you could almost always find him on the golf course. He was an avid golfer and played every season up until his passing. He not only loved golf for the game itself but for the friendships and lifelong connections he made.
Gary will be deeply missed by those he golfed with and those he shared a laugh with over a pint of beer every Sunday.
Gary is survived by his wife Marlene, his two sons Jim (Sandy) and Rob (Deb), and his three grandchildren Zach (Emily), Nick (Lily), and Brenna.
Gary will be remembered by all for his humor, his fervent yet charming stubbornness, and his unyielding love for his family. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
