BIANCO, Gertrude Alice - Born December 31, 1920 passed away peacefully in her Maple Ridge home on November 3, 2011. Predeceased by her husband Romeo (Butch) ans sister Sharen. She is survived by her loving children Barbara and Ron (Jacqueline); grandchildren Christine (David), Darryl (Krista), Steven and Justin; great grandchildren Ella and Zoey; niece Darlene as well as many dear friends. Gertrude was a very outgoing and personable lady who loved to host family gatherings. She was an amazing cook who enjoyed socializing and just chatting with her many friends and family members. She loved to travel and her many family vacations were her greatest joys, specifically Hawaii. She was a very skilled knitter and her family has countless items as keepsakes that were made by her hands with love. Gertrude's family meant the world to her and she will forever be loved and cherished by all who knew her. A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Accent Inns Burnaby 3777 Henning Drive in Burnaby. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Gertrude may be made to the BC Cancer Society. "Forever in our hearts".
