Gordon Donald Hemminger

Passed away peacefully June 21, 2019 at the age of 83. Predeceased by his son Lee. Survived by wife Marilyn; sons Dennis (Gail); and Bruce; daughter Cindy (Chris); daughter-in-law Jing; grandchildren, Dustin, Amber (Eric), Chelsey (Andy), Lindsay, Daniel, Jeremy, Reyna; great grandchild Kathryn. Predeceased by brother Gerry (Sally-Jean). Survived by brother Ed (Lilli-Ann); and many nieces and nephews. Gordon was born in Snowflake, Manitoba and spent his life in Haney (Maple Ridge). Was Finance Department Head for the District. Also a Volunteer Fireman for 30 years. He spent much of his retirement time fishing and golfing. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 5th at 11 am at Golden Ears United Church, 22165 Dewdney Trunk Rd., Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations to either Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation or Golden Ears Church Memorial Fund, would be appreciated.
