September 1, 1928 - July 7, 2020
With great sadness we announce the passing of Clarence at McKenney Creek Hospice Residence in Maple Ridge at the age of 91. Born September 1, 1928 and passed away July 7, 2020. Clarence was predeceased by his wife Rosalie of 63 years. He is survived by his children: Les (Joan) Granholm, Carol (Brent) Reed, Ed (Lori) Granholm and Sheila Roon; Grandchildren: Jessica (Brett) Maletic, Emily Reed (Ron Lal), David (Jen) Granholm, Alison Granholm, Katie (Christian) Granholm, Dawne (Jason) Carver, Melissa Reed, Trevin Granholm, Robin Reed (Graham Collins) and Colin Roon; and 10 Great-Grandchildren; brother Jack (Bunny) Granholm and nieces/nephews. Papa as he was known to the family, was born and raised in Vancouver wherehe went to school and eventually to UBC to obtain his CGA degree. For much of his career he worked for the Federal Government, upon retirement he found life to be busier than his working career. His retirement years were spent traveling through many countries in the world, building homes in which his children reside in today. He spent his quite time building furniture, wood carving and reading. Papa was the quiet foundation of the family and will be greatly missed. Due to Covid-19 funeral and internment both held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer foundation would be appreciated. A special thank you to the staff at McKenney Creek Hospice for the care provided in his last few days of his life.
