Julius passed away peacefully at home. Julius was born in Knappenberg, Austria - the eldest child of Julius and Karoline Fritz. His formative years were in Volkermarkt, Austria.
In 1971 Julius immigrated to Canada, living in Montreal and Calgary before moving to Maple Ridge in 1996. He enjoyed a quiet peaceful life along the Alouette River, working outside and keeping an eye on the local wildlife.
Julius will be very much missed by his family. He and Sandra celebrated 40 years of marriage last spring. Julius is the loving father of Elisabeth, Gisela (Sayed) and Kirste - proud Grandfather of Maddalena (Giacomo) and Amin - doting Great Grandfather of Massimiliano - big Brother of Edith (Larry) and Karoline (Erich) - beloved Uncle to Anita, Heimo, Manuela, Martina, Ian and Tamara.
The family wish to acknowledge and thank those who provided amazing home care for Julius, including Dr. Dugdale, the Fraser Health Community Health Workers, Occupational Therapists and Nurses who made it possible for Julius to continue to live at home. We will be forever grateful.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date, with interment in Austria later this year.
