December 6, 1948 - October 14, 2023
Karen was born in New Westminster on December 6, 1948. We are saddened to announce that Karen has passed away at home after many years of battle with lung disease.
She is predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Grace Sanderson and husband Fred Moritz.
She is survived by her children, Skye and Lee-Erin Fairbairn, grandchildren, Maia, Chloe and Mackenzie Fairbairn-Wiebe and brothers Norm (Alice) and Daryl (Bev), as well as four nephews and four great nieces and nephews.
Special thanks go out to friends and family members for the care they showed Karen throughout her life and particularly in the last few months. She always tried to be of service whether at her work at the Ridge Meadows hospital, or the Hospital Auxiliary store The Economy Cottage.
There will be a graveside service only for immediate family at a later date.
