April 19, 1945 - December 2, 2018
It is with great sadness that, the family of Levern "Vern" David Wellwood announces his sudden passing on Dec. 2, 2018 after a short, but hard fought battle with cancer. Vern was born in Saskatoon, SK, on April 19, 1945. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, trucker, racer at heart and all round source of advice (solicited or not) and humour.

When the family moved to B.C. in 1970 he worker at Lumberland and then took up his true passion driving truck. After retirement, he still drove truck a little, did snow removal for the entire neighbourhood and started volunteering at Mission Raceway, which he loved.

He was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Laura. Vern is survived by his wife of fifty years Linda; his children Jamie (Anita); Rob and Jennifer (Trevor); grandchildren, the lights of his life, Noah, Camryn and Ashton and his furry snoring mate Kayla. Also surviving are his sister Jeannie (Gord), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and many good friends. All will miss him dearly.

Vern found inner peace before passing. He cut a perfect light and finished the race. No service by request. The family expresses thanks to the doctors and nurses at Abbotsford Cancer Clinic and Maple Ridge Hospital for their care.

As Vern did in life "Pay It Forward"
