It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our amazing grandma, mom, wife, sister, aunt and friend, Linda Gregson.
Linda passed away suddenly but peacefully at her home on August 15, 2023. She was still actively working in her field of expertise, Early Childhood Education, with over 40 years experience at Douglas College.
Linda was the centre of a close knit family energetically looking out for and marshalling four grand children, two children, and her husband. She supported many charities and walked the talk of caring for the planet and living a sustainable life, leaving the planet a better place for future generations.
Born Linda Lancaster in 1949, she grew up in New Westminster, attended NWSS and later SFU and Douglas College, moving to Coquitlam to raise her family and later Maple Ridge. Linda was a bright, driven, strong, outspoken woman a generation before it was fashionable or acceptable, and someone we could all look up to.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, sister and nieces and nephews.
A service in her honour will be held on October 1st. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda's name can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
