BOOTH, Margaret (Peggy) nee Tyerman


Peggy passed away in the early morning of September 19th, 2014, with Jack, her best friend and husband of 67 years, and her son, David, by her side. She is dearly loved and will be missed by Jack, and by her children; Bonnie (Herb), Kathy (John), Patty (Carter), David (Greig), Jim (Debra), and Bill (Kelly), grandchildren, Jenna, Jessica, Eric, Rebecca, Joanna, Alissa, Ariel, Alexa, Kaye, and Dan, and their spouses, and by her great-grandchildren, Kieran, Lochlan and Rory. She will also be missed by her brother, Jim Tyerman, her many nieces & nephews, and good friends. Peggy was born in 1927 in New Westminster, BC, and grew up in Fraser Mills. During the course of her life, she was an avid reader, artist, poet, musician (drummer in the Duke of Connaught Bugle Band), volunteer, camping enthusiast, cub leader, scout leadership trainer at the local, provincial and national levels, marriage enrichment leader, crossword puzzle and Scrabble wiz, & a dedicated member of her church community. Above all, Peggy was a generous, intelligent, gentle woman of courage who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held 2p.m., October 4th at Golden Ears United Church in Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, or Naramata Centre.
