GWOZD Marie Eva, (nee Higgin). Born in Comox, BC, May 10, 1943 passed away on September 5, 2012 in Maple Ridge, BC. Marie was predeceased by her loving husband Jerry, of 43 years. Marie leaves to mourn her loving family, sons Dale (Lisa), Rick (Jodi), grandchildren Tamara, Sarah (Brad), Ashleigh, Justin, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Tyler and Amanda; brother Jack Higgin, brother-in-law John, nieces and nephews, and also many dear friends. Marie was a loving mother whose love and commitment for her family was always first and foremost. Marie enjoyed gardening and loved to travel. Marie was an avid crib player and looked forward to playing with partners at both the legion and the Maple Ridge Seniors Centre. Marie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A 'Celebration of Life' will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Maple Ridge located at 12101 224th Street Maple Ridge, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of, B.C. and Yukon.
