Marie passed away peacefully on December 23rd, 2008 at Golden Ears Retirement Village surrounded by her family and friends. Marie goes on to join her daughter Vicki, brother Bob and sister Dorothy.
She will be forever missed by her sisters Ruby (Frank) and Faye, her sons Don (Jean) and Kevin (Marlene), daughter Debie, nieces and nephews, her 9 grandchildren, Heather, Shannon, Paul, Daniel, Tammy, Tony, Tina, Teresa, and Alex, 8 great grandchildren, son-in-law Bill and best friend of 65 years, Florence. Marie was born in Erskine, Alberta; she spent 25 years of her life serving smiles and laughter in the cafeteria of Calgary General Hospital.
Marie does not wish to have a formal memorial but a gathering of friends and family to be held in the reception room at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969-216th Street on Saturday, January 17th, 2009 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the charity of your choice.
