With deep sadness the families wish to announce the passing of Mary Slama, long time resident of Whonnock, on March 21, 2021. Predeceased by her husband, Walter, son-in-law Ray Klassen, and her granddaughter, Paula Klassen.
Mom leaves behind 2 daughters, Chris Zavislak (Ozee), and Gaby Klassen. Three grandchildren, Adina Read (Gary), Robert Hirschberger (Jaclyn) and Travis Klassen (Sheena), as well as 3 great grandchildren, Linden Read, Amelia & Isla Hirschberger.
As well as a busy professional seamstress, she always found time for family & friends. She was always the ultimate hostess.
The family would like to thank the Nurses, Care Aides, and Dr D'Angelo & staff at Hawthorne Care Centre, Port Coquitlam for the many years of care. There will be a private family gathering at a later date. In memory, donations if you so choose, can be made to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice.
