Murie Horne (nee Flett)

April 8, 1930 - August 17, 2019
Our precious Mum passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. Born in Portessie, Scotland, she emigrated to Canada with her husband and three children in 1957, settling in North Vancouver where two more children were born.When Dad died in 1989, she retired to Maple Ridge and later Pitt Meadows. She spent her last years at Shaughnessy Care Centre in Port Coquitlam to whom the family is very grateful for the kind and loving care that she received.
Predeceased by her husband Jim, son Graeme and daughter Jennifer Williams (Denis), she is survived by daughters Brenda McCartney, Angela Bartok (Brent) and son David (Eileen), along with 10 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren and many family members and friends, both here and in Scotland. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother & friend with a very kind heart and sunny disposition and she will never be forgotten.
Memorial service to be held at Haney Presbyterian Church, 11858 216 St, Maple Ridge, BC on Saturday, September 21 at 1 pm. All friends welcome.
