November 5, 1937 - September 29, 2023
With sadness and tears of our farewells, with daughters and granddaughter Caitlyn by her side, our amazing mom, Norma Coote passed away peacefully in Kamloops, BC, on a sunny fall morning, on September 29, 2023, to join her beloved husband, John Coote, daughter Tracy, and brother Ronald Reid.
Mom was born on November 5, 1937, in North Vancouver, the only daughter of Elsie Reid (Stockdale) of Fort Langley and David Reid of Haney.
Mom is survived by her daughters Janice (Kenney & Dennis), Debbi (Will), and Gail, grandchildren Jennifer, Caitlyn, Jason, Sean, Jeremy, & Shannon, Dale & Ryan & many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Fern Reid & family.
Of special note is the long-lasting friendships with Aunt Phyllis Frew and family, Marion Westman and family. We thank you for being part of her life and ours. The memories are precious.
Mom - we saw you getting tired and wanting to go.
And you chose a day with the last gaze of September sun.
The sky blue, full of songs and golden rays
Greens, garnets, and gold joining bright blooms not wanting winter ahead.
May there be no sadness with this day
Know that your light brought all of us through many years.
Your love washing our souls in smiles and encasing our hearts.
For every memory of you we hold in our days
So, they will reflect the joy and love you gave us in so many ways.
Forever near to us when we speak your name.
Knowing we will see you soon again.
