GREGORY Norman Stanley
Born in Saskatoon Feb 13, 1922
Passed away in Kelowna July 3, 2006
Norman brought the Super-Valu franchise to Haney. He and Betty, his heartmate of 62 years made their home in Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows, raising four daughters and a son, and seeing their family grow to include 25 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was always involved in the community, serving two years on the Maple Ridge Council, president of the Kinsman Club, Chamber of Commerce and other organizations and was involved with the GVRD in acquiring park properties such as the Kanaka Creek Regional Park. During that time he also served on the Postal Service Review Committee for the government and was still playing Old Timers' Hockey in his 70th year.
After retirement to Kelowna he continued to be 'head cowboy' at Willow Ranch, Kamloops that the family had owned for thirty five years.
"Time to put down the branding iron, Dad---the family is taking your ashes back to the ranch."
