PETROW; Ola Kathleen
On Thursday, December 15, 2016 this world lost a beautiful soul. Born November 16, 1936 in New Westminster, BC, Ola Kathleen Petrow (nee Dale aka Wright, Martucci) passed away at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her partner Bruce Flett, her daughters Kate Rowbottom, Leslie Wright, Jacquie Janum, and son John Wright; grandchildren Jacky Seigo, Amy Seigo, Rich Lovett, Jenn Lovett, Michael Lovett, Leslie-Ann Janum, Karla Janum, Stephanie Janum, John Wright Jr., Matthew Wright, Luke Wright and Ellen Wright; and great grandchildren Kyanna,
Zachary, Jackson, Maddox and Kingston Lovett, Dylan & Brandan Saran, Olivia Kilian, Mia and Hannah Nachar and Logan Janum Tarr; nephew Johnny Hart and nieces Kathy Nickols and Pat Kalar and some very wonderful friends. Kathy was predeceased by her mother Catherine Graham, her father Leslie Dale, her sister Una Hart, and her brother Jack Dale. Kathy was a warrior to some, an inspiration to others, and a good friend to many. Mom became a friend of Bill W. in 1973 and her life became not only manageable but remarkable. It was a blessing, she said, that none of her grandchildren or great grandchildren knew her any other way. Kathy fought a fierce battle with cancer. Unfortunately, it was caught late in the game and it proved too much to overcome. The family would like to thank all those people who helped make a difference in her final days especially Cheyne, Rachel T, Frank, and Ann Marie of the Tertiary Palliative Care Unit at ARH. A celebration of her life will be held January 15, 2017 at 12:15 at the One Way Club, 22270 North Avenue, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers or cards please reach out to someone who needs you.
