DUFF Ronald James. Born December 19, 1936. Passed away September 8, 2011

Survived by his loving wife of 52 years Janice and children Laurie, Kim, Mike and Debbie with their spouses Ray, Mickey, Gloria and Bob. His grandchildren Cass, Christina, Colby, Amanda, Derek, Lyndsey, Sierra, Christopher and Brandon, as well as his great-grandchildren Halo, Jaxon, and Damon. Also survived by his sister Bev Emond and many friends that were more like family. Dad was an extremely hard worker. As a young man he used to work at the PNE with the horses cleaning stalls and excersizing the horses. Dad loved to fix up old cars and his old hot rods. Dad raced at Digby Speedway. He worked for ICBC as an insurance adjuster and later worked as a bodyman. Dad loved horses and old cars and was an amazing bodyman. He also loved to go fishing and loved to hunt with his old pal Dan Danyluk. He also loved the Canucks. Dad always considered his greatest achievement finding the love of his life, his wife Janice and raising his children to know the importance of family. He was so proud of them, watching them grow and have children of their own for a total of 9 grandchildren. Mom and Dad were blessed with 3 great-grandchildren who were lucky enough to get to know him even for a short time. Mom and Dad were also happy that all of their children found the loves of their lives who they have cherished and treated like they were their own. Dad always said that if you could count your true friends on one hand you were truly lucky and he was blessed with more than he could ever hope for. Anyone who ever met Dad instantly liked him because he was a truly loveable and extraordinary man.

We will always love you and hold you

in our hearts forever. If you are reading this and you are lucky enough to still have your dad give him a hug and kiss and tell him you love him everyday.
