Ted (Dad, Pa) was born in 1924 and went home to be with the Lord April 28, 2018.
Ted is predeceased by his wife Averil Ladd and son Laurence Ladd. He is survived by daughter Leslie Bolan, son Jeff (Sheen) Ladd, grandchildren Shane (Janine) Bolan, Brendan Bolan, Vince (Lisa) Bolan, Ashley (Kyle) Ferguson, Aaron (Kristi) Ladd, Carmen (Steve) Johnson, Rebekah (Nick) Crump and 8 great grandchildren.
Ted was born in Point Grey the 5th of 7 children. Some of the best memories were growing up near the ocean. After graduation, he enlisted with the RCAF where he was posted to Nova Scotia. On his return after the war, he met his wife of 60 years, Averilla Thomasson whom he married in 1947. They moved to Maple Ridge where they raised their family and where he made his home for the past 69 years.
He was a psychiatric nurse for 43 years. Ted and Averil travelled extensively, he enjoyed photography, and had a passion for gardening and rhododendrons. For his family the most important thing was him always having the time to be with them and make everyone special.
Ted, Dad, Pa will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held on Wed May 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Maple Ridge Baptist Church, 22155 Lougheed Hwy. Maple Ridge BC V2X5V3.
