THIERMAN ~Tillie Marie
August 12th, 1927 ~ August 7th, 2008
Tillie has accepted God’s call to his heavenly kingdom. Tillie was born and raised in Wolsey Saskatchewan before she moved to Manitoba where she obtained her nursing degree in 1949. She married George in 1952 and they were happily married for 56 years. She spent the next 14 years moving to and from various cities before settling down in Burnaby, British Columbia in 1965. Tillie was a “supermom” in bringing up seven children. There was no task too big for Tillie and she ruled her home with a loving, caring and tender touch. Tillie will be missed very much by her husband George and her children Kathy (Gary), Theresa (David), Patrick (Dale), Joseph (Gail), John (Doris), David, Andrew and her grandchildren Christina, Laura, Caitlin, Alex and Julie. Tillie was the last born of 12 children and will be missed by her surviving siblings Helen, Ely and Bill. Tillie was a very active person in her church as well as being a CWL member and a daily communicant. She survived heart valve surgery longer than anyone had anticipated and numerous strokes before she accepted God’s call. Her beautiful smile and loving gentleness will be missed by all. If you had the fortune to know Tillie you were blessed to see an earthly saint. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Frances de Sales 6610 Balmoral Street Burnaby, BC on Wednesday August 13th, 2008 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow Funeral Mass at the Maple Ridge Cemetery 21404 Dewdney Trunk Rd. Maple Ridge, BC.
