It is with great sadness George's family announces his passing on May 10, 2022. For all those who knew him, the roar is now silent. George was born in Hamilton, Ontario and grew up in both Hamilton and London. He spent two summers in Victoria during his university days.
It was in Victoria at an army dance that he met Beverley (nee Knott). After serving in Germany for two years he returned and they were married in 1954. After moving several times, Bev and George eventually settled in Coquitlam and later in Maple Ridge.
George had many careers. He was a top salesman for various companies. His final role was as an inspector for Weights and Measures Canada. It was a job he loved.
George was predeceased by his wife, Beverley in 2014.
He is survived by his son Mark (Marj), daughter Sandy, five grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
