August 18, 1933 - May 25, 2020
On May 25th 2020, William Thomas Little, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 86. Bill was born on Aug. 18, 1933 to Lauretta and Charlie Little of Hammond, where he lived his entire life. He grew up enjoying the out-of-doors, hunting and fishing with his dad. Bill started working at Hammond Cedar in 1949 and was employed there until his retirement int 1998, making him one of the longest employees in the mill. He worked in pretty well every department of the mill including the tug boat, boom and filing room. Bill was also a member of the fire department in the mill for many years.
Bill was survived by his wife of 61 years, Bonnie, son, Chuck (Dana), daughter, Lorri (Greg), son Kris (Carly). Also, grandchildren, Amy (Chris), Grady (Alison) , Jolene and Delaney. He will also be remembered by his in-law family, Nancy Jarmson and Judy & Jim Heaton and their families. Many, many cousins from Canada, USA, Sweden, & Shetland.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Lauretta & Charlie, his brother, Edwin, and grandson, Brian.
The little family would like to give big hugs and sincere thanks to the staff of Baillie House, for their excellent care of Bill and consideration to all of us.
Bill will be cremated and put to rest in Maple Ridge cemetery with a get together for family and friends to be held at a later date when we can all get together to celebrate his life.
