Yvonne de Joie (Newton)
de Joie – Yvonne went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on October 27th 2005, peacefully in her sleep, at her house in Abbotsford.
Yvonne had a fabulous zest for life and a wonderful sense of humour which filled any room she was in with joy. Her faith and strength was a source of great inspiration to those who knew her. Her love, wisdom and warmth filled the lives of those around her with hope and comfort.
She will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Erin (Jonathon), Cliff (Sylvia), Greg (Lorelei), Trevor (Kelly).
She was a “cool” Grandma who used to dye her hair green and make herself up like a cat for her eight grandchildren, who she loved with all of her heart: Nicholas, Alanna, Kiana, Matthew, Candace, Trent, Tarek and Daniella.
Yvonne lived life to its fullest and had a kind word for everyone she met.
She was a devoted sister who was dearly loved by Adelle (Harold) as well as many other family and friends.
“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
A celebration of Yvonne’s life was held on Monday October 31, 2005
