Re: ARMS pushes for Alouette fish ladder (The News, June 10).
Why is it that our MLA can support this and our MP, who should have the ear of the Minister of Fisheries, has not at any time publicly said this obstruction (dam) to salmon is an anachronistic obstruction to fish contrary to a modern fisheries act. A fish ladder is long overdue here, we all know it, but Ottawa sleeps on platitudes to green euphemisms well Alouette salmon sit with their nose against this dam
Yes, it’s a damning indictment on all who have the power to act but sit back and do nothing to tear down this wall of shame.
