Letters: And what does Maple Ridge get?

Pitt Meadows has progressed and expanded and does not depend solely on residential property taxes

Editor, The News:

Residents Rising, a group of citizens in Pitt Meadows, are opposed to a continued industrial development by Onni, which would cover four million square feet.

Coun. Janis Elkerton thinks it’s great that citizens became involved and care about their community.

In other words, suck it up.

Here in Maple Ridge, most development is fought tooth and nail.

Pitt Meadows has progressed and expanded like cities do and does not depend solely on residential property taxes.

Why does a city of roughly 18,000 people get a massive industrial complex with associated business taxes and Maple Ridge gets what?
