Editor, The News:
My children are all adults now and the married ones have children who walk to a nearby school. However, I feel I must add my voice to the school bus issue.
There are many positives for keeping our school buses operational: safety – walking children on busy street; more cars on the road – more chances for accidents; economics – gas prices; and after-school care.
Unfortunately, two parents working hard to make ends meet and the resultant stress that make for challenging harmonious family interactions do not make for diligent students.
Our carbon footprint – do we really need to add to this problem?
