I support Jack Emberly’s comments about the crucial service that Iron Horse provided for young people.

Re: We have to house the homeless (Along the Fraser, Feb. 6).

I support Jack Emberly’s comments about the crucial service that Iron Horse provided for young people.

That the shelter loses all federal funding because it fails to qualify for a new program is appalling.

Personal experience and the testimonies of the young people whose lives have been changed through the efforts of those at Iron Horse make it clear: Iron Horse changed lives.

The young are our most valuable resource.  They are the future.

If they are left with nowhere to go, and nowhere to feel safe, we will have failed them.
