Lisa Craik has been a resident of Maple Ridge for over 20 years and in the media business since 1999. She has raised her family in this area, and actively volunteered and participated in her children’s sports and academic careers. She is a board member with the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation, past volunteer with the Ridge Meadows Minor Ball Hockey Association, local secondary high school committees, to name just a few. She actively participates in and sponsors numerous local events, non-profit groups and businesses as well as manages the day to day operations of The News both in print and online. Lisa has been with Black Press Media for 17 years, and oversees all departments at The Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News. She has recently begun traveling to other Black Press publications to assist in certain training aspects in the marketing departments. She is the recipient of the Presidents Award from Black Press Media, and has earned multiple B.C. and Yukon Community Newspaper and Canadian Community Newspaper Advertising awards, local Chamber awards, and is proud to represent the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News and Black Press Media. She is also the publisher and managing editor of Bijou Lifestyle Magazine serving Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows.
Michael Hall has been a journalist for more than 20 years, and more than 10 as editor of the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News. In addition to editing and social media duties, he writes news, features and opinion, and shoots photos and video. He lives in Maple Ridge with his wife and two children, and previously lived in Pitt Meadows, and has been active in coaching minor sports.
Phil Melnychuk has been a reporter and editor in B.C. and Alberta for more than 20 years, working in Whitecourt, Stony Plain, Medicine Hat, Vancouver and Abbotsford. He covers politics for the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News, as well as environmental issues, and shoots photos and video, as well.
Neil Corbett covers education, health care and sports at the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News. He has worked in journalism for more than two decades, as an editor and reporter, and now as a multi-media journalist.
Colleen Flanagan is a multimedia journalist with more than 10 years experience. She covers arts and community events for the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News.
Brian has been the circulation manager at The News for the past 6 years and works alongside our circulation clerk, Mara Fraser and three part time field representatives. Brian has been in the media distribution business for the past thirty five years and brings extensive experience to The News circulation department. He oversees the entire delivery operation across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows including early morning starts to ensure delivery drivers get the newspapers out to over 250 youth and adult carriers, twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Fridays regardless of weather.
